If you have followed my personal blog, you have heard me talk about my amazing friend Robin DePaula. She has become an incredible friend, support, and inspiration over the years I have known her. She even came to town to cover my sister's wedding. I heart Robin. She's such a joy in my life.
Robin’s husband was admitted to the hospital for what they thought were kidney stones. While looking into the kidney stones they discovered cancer. Robin and her family were absolutely devastated. She and her husband have traveled back and forth from Louisiana to Houston so that he could get the best possible care at MD Anderson. While visiting MD Anderson last week, they checked into a lump on his back that she had been asking his regular doctor about for over a year. Their world was turned upside down once again to learn that it was more cancer. They've had a rough run, he is unable to work right now (he's in law enforcement) and she is struggling to keep up with her regular job and her photography business. Insurance only covers so much and the cost of traveling and lodging is starting to take its toll.
To show our love and support, and to help with the financial burden we are having a good ole fashion fundraiser! All of June, 50% of the proceeds from the sale of my business forms will go to Robin!
